Good day fellow readers! What are you doing? Finishing assignments? Working from home? or just relaxing from a rough day? Whatever it is, hopefully you are still happy and healthy ❤
In this post, I will share about not only one, but 5 useful applications you can use for either online or offline learning and teaching! They are all free and can be used individually or in groups as means to increase collaborative skills. Plus, I will include videos made by my classmates so you can directly see how they are used! Therefore, without further ado, let's get started.
1. Flipgrid (flipgrid.com)

When we open online discussion forums, sometimes what's lacking is that we cannot see students' facial expressions, and can result in a not-so-lively discussion. However, Flipgrid is able to facilitate a discussion using videos, so both teachers and students can respond by recording themselves voicing their opinions out. Watch this video to know more about it👇
2. Jamboard (jamboard.google.com)
This application is a simple, easy-to-use collaborative online whiteboard. You can not only scribble like how you would with a whiteboard, but also add pictures and sticky notes. I have written about it here, and delivered a presentation about it too! Watch it here 👇 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1arpESyOROaX3p8FTKbN4dAYOHC4t4ayO/view?usp=sharing
3. Stormboard (stormboard.com)
Similar to Jamboard, Stormboard is also a collaborative online whiteboard. The plus point is, it has plenty of features and even templates to organize not only activities in the classroom, but also in meetings and or personal lives, such as using it as a schedule board. You can add files and organize your brainstorming by making Substorms, and you can export what you've made into files like Microsoft Excel. To know what a Substorm is, watch this video👇
4. Canva (canva.com)
I think most people nowadays are familiar with this application due to its wide array of captivating presentation templates. That is true, but did you know that you can record yourself doing a presentation directly after making the slides? Moreover, you can create infographics, logos, and short videos to post on your Instagram stories as well. Here is a further explanation of the wonders of Canva👇
5. Nearpod (nearpod.com)
If you're looking for an application that has all kinds of features, then Nearpod will fulfill your expectations. From creating quizzes to collaborative boards, exploring what Nearpod has to offer might take a while, but once you know them all, there are no barriers to the kind of online lesson you are designing. It can even be integrated with an application like Flipgrid! Curious? Then know more about it by watching this👇
Those are all just few of the tools that will support a livelier classroom interaction. Have fun trying each one!
