Hello everyone!
I hope you are all doing well today. What have you been doing lately? Me, I am preparing my final projects for the final-term examinations. Although I am busy, I still managed to learn 5 more tools to boost the fun in your classroom activities, and would like to share them to you guys! If you haven't seen the previous ones, you can click here. Of course, all of them are free to use. Alright then, let's get to the first tool.
1. Edpuzzle (https://edpuzzle.com/)
Edpuzzle is a tool that lets you integrate questions into various videos available on the internet. However, it actually does more than that. Edpuzzle also lets you add images, links, and audios to the videos. They can be arranged so that these items appear in specific times during the video. This can be assigned asynchronously or synchronously, and the teacher can immediately see the students' progress.
Aside from being able to select a video online, teachers and students can create their own video as well. Moreover, you can embed your project into several LMSs. Therefore, if your students happen to be fond of videos, this tool will greatly help in making students truly learn something from them. Click here to see a tutorial on how to use Edpuzzle.
I would like to share a project that my friend made using Edpuzzle too! Try it by clicking here.
2. Edmodo (https://new.edmodo.com/)

3. ClassDojo (https://www.classdojo.com/)
The first thought that came into my mind about this tool is that it's like an advanced, educational Facebook for students, teachers, and parents. Sure, it has the features of an LMS, but ClassDojo stated that they want their app to function more than just manage classrooms; they want to foster positive behavior and classroom culture. Similar to Facebook, it has a messaging feature so that teachers can closely communicate with parents and students. Teachers can share moments they have in class via pictures with both students and parents, and students are able to upload portfolios of their classroom projects as well.
ClassDojo also has 'Dojo Points' which students can earn every time they did a positive behavior. Moreover, resources such as guides and videos are provided for everyone planning to use the app in order to maximize their experience. Another thing children will love about ClassDojo is that they will be able to customize their own cute monster avatar! If you are new in using this, you might need a while to navigate through this feature-rich tool. To get started with ClassDojo, see this video. To see a class my friend made, follow these steps, and input the code JNVRAF
4. Sevima Edlink (https://edlink.id/)
This tool is yet another LMS created in Indonesia. Therefore, when you open the website, the content is in Indonesian. It provides features like any other LMS, letting teachers assign tasks, make quizzes, learn materials, and set class reminders. It can also give teachers a comprehensive report on their classes. However, the distinctive feature of this incredible LMS is that it facilitates video conferencing and can be integrated into several university's teaching and learning websites. Because of this, classes will automatically synchronize with EdLink's system. Since it is also available on App Store and Google Play, students can access classes and mark their attendance via their smartphones. Here is a video to show you what Sevima Edlink can do. Try to experience using EdLink by joining a class here: https://edlink.id/class/QFN68 Of course, you have to sign in using your Google account first.5. Socrative (https://www.socrative.com/)
Well, those are just a few more simple, enjoyable, and time-saving technological tools made to support classroom management and activities, ranging from LMSs to quiz or assignment makers. Actually, these tools can even be used in other settings as well; it all depends on your creativity. Have you ever used these tools? Let me know what you think of them in the comments. Oh, and I'm sure there are many more applications we have yet to explore, so don't be afraid to look for more! If you find a new one, don't hesitate to share!
Well, that's it for this time; see you in another post!
